Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is carried out by applying long, gliding strokes across muscles while keeping in mind the course of blood flow to the heart. Swedish Massage is advantageous for increasing oxygen levels in the blood, decreasing toxins in the muscles, full body relaxation, and overall better flexibility and circulation.

Deep Tissue Massage

Though similar to Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage focuses on massaging the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia in order to relieve chronic muscle tension. Along with deeper applied pressure, other modalities include myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and stretching.

Sports Therapy Massage

Whether you’re preparing for an event or looking to reduce recovery time after physical activities, Sport Therapy Massage is your pathway to muscle and joint pain relief and optimal athletic performance. This style of massage is used for any athlete of any age. Sports Massage focuses on areas that need more attention due to overuse. It increases flexibility, limits fatigue, boosts endurance, and is completely personalized to your body’s needs in order to prepare for prime athletic performance.

Prenatal Massage

The benefits of Prenatal Massage include stress reduction on weight-bearing joints, improved blood and lymph circulation, and overall tension relief. Soft cushions and sideline positioning are used to enhance comfort and reduce strain on the lower back and pelvic areas during the treatment. Women with normal, low-risk pregnancies can benefit from this style of massage, but should still consult with their doctor or midwife before undergoing treatment.

Gua Sha Facial

Gua Sha is an ancient Chinese practice that involves “scraping” the skin with a bian stone tool specifically made for this treatment. Gua Sha is shown to improve the skin in many ways and has more recently been referred to as the “anti-botox.” Instead of paralyzing the muscles of the face, as done in botox treatment, the Gua Sha tool is used to release muscle tension in the face. Through this treatment, facial muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles become more relaxed and puffiness can be reduced due to lymphatic drainage. Other dramatic improvements include skin texture, lifting, and decreased jaw pain (TMJ).

Cupping (Face and Body)

Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine used to primarily treat muscle pain. Ranging in size, silicone cups are used as another deep tissue technique by applying the cups to the skin and forming a suction to create blood flow to a specific area. The increased blood flow loosens tight muscles and relieves tension. When applied to the face and jaw, static lymph can be moved resulting in released tension from clenching and grinding the teeth. It is important to understand that cupping does leave circular bruising wherever it is applied. The severity of the bruising depends on the level of stagnation in an area. Bruises typically fade within a few days to a week.

Reflexology

Reflexology is an alternative medicine involving application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques, without the use of oil or lotion, to correspond with different organs throughout the body. Reflexology is commonly used to stimulate healing in the kidneys and respiratory system, promote relaxation response to stress and anxiety, and improve overall wellness.

Reiki

Reiki is a form of alternative medicine called energy healing. Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a "universal energy" is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing.
